ADI Summit Como Lake

On 3 & 4 May, AD International hosted nearly 200 participants at the 34th edition of the ADI Summit, at the marvelous setting of Lake Como at Villa Erba. The Summit is ADI’s annual top event that strengthens co-operation between leaderships of both the industry and trade in the automotive aftermarket.

The Summit was kicked-of on Wednesday May 3 with a welcome lunch, followed by the reveal of a new AD identity for the Corporate, Distributor and Installer level. Afterwards the first of 420 half hour sessions started between ADI’s 23 partners and 50 Premium suppliers during which past and future business was debated.

On Wednesday evening the participants were taken to a traditional Italian trattoria where the guests prepared delicious Italian dishes and enjoyed them with a glass of exquisite Italian wine. During this cooking event existing relationships were strengthened and new ones were created!

ADI President, Stéphane Antiglio and Managing Director, Manuel Van Royen jointly presented the achievements in fields of logistics, footprint, customer support, AD Garage and ESG.

Stéphane Antiglio concluded with ADI’s focus for the future: growth (optimization of the supplier portfolio and improved footprint), customer support (digital applications, technical support, AD Garage), ESG (Sustainability) and a firm commitment to sustain and improve the aftermarket legal framework through Figiefa.

In a real-time online session Oleksiy Mitskevich, Marketing Director of AD Ukraine, received on behalf of the ADI Board and Partners the CAR IAM award to honor the immeasurable resilience and for being an inspiration to the ADI community during the last year.

Keynote speaker Inma Martinez, digital pioneer and AI scientist, chair and co-chair of various high-level committees, and advisor to the European Commission, national governments and private companies, gave the audience a dynamic, interesting and revealing exposé about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on our lives and businesses.

The evening was marked by the proclamation of the Aftermarket Professional of the Year (won by Juan Carlos Martín, General Manager of AD Parts), for personal contribution and achievement to the aftermarket and to AD International, and the Supplier of the Year, awarded to Valeo for their exceptional performance with the ADI Partners during 2022.
